Britney Spears praised her ex-boyfriend Timberlake’s new lead song “Selfish”

In a Sunday Instagram post, Justin Timberlake‘s latest track “Selfish,”  single, has received an appreciation post from Britney Spears.

Timberlake’s lead song and his second new song, “Sanctified,” which made its Saturday Night Live debut over the weekend, were both recognized by Spears, 42, in a post on Sunday.

In the same article, Spears, who broke up with Timberlake in 2002, expressed her regret to fans she may have “offended” with her biography, “The Woman in Me”.

“For a few of the things I discussed in my book, I would like to express my regret. I honestly apologize if I offended someone that I truly value”, she penned a note. 

She praised the single track, “I also wanted to say that I adore the new song ‘Selfish’ by Justin Timberlake.” 

She continued, “It’s hilarious, and I can’t stop laughing whenever I see Jimmy and Justin together. Also, “Sanctified” is amazing”. 

The post included a video of the 42-year-old singer, Timberlake, performing a hilarious mashup of some of his best hits, including “Selfish,” with the sound of classroom instruments. Timberlake, Fallon, and The Roots appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Thursday. 

In her autobiography, Spears refers to her previous relationship with Timberlake, stating that she was expecting a child with the singer but had an abortion because he “was not ready to be a father.”

The old track “Selfish by Britney Spears” trended on X (previously known as Twitter), and Timberlake’s track, which was published on Thursday, placed at No. 3 on the iTunes rankings. The song hit its peak on Friday.

The singer will release his new album, “Everything I Thought It Was”, on March 15 and includes the songs “Selfish” and “Sanctified.”

Also, Timberlake disclosed his “Forget Tomorrow World Tour” on The Tonight Show, along with the release of his new album.
