The Last Showgirl, written by Kate Gersten and produced by Robert Schwartzman and Natalie Farrey, is led by a star-studded cast. The news was initially reported on Thursday by Deadline.
The forthcoming film centers on an experienced showgirl in her 50s whose 30-year run of a show ends unexpectedly. While trying to mend her connection with her daughter, she starts to worry about what the future holds.
“Making a movie in Vegas has always been my dream,” 37-year-old Coppola stated to Deadline. “I’m really happy with our entire team and actors, especially Pamela. I’m eager to share her audacious and moving performance!
Schwartzman told Deadline, “dream project, dream cast.” “We are incredibly grateful and honored to have the opportunity to narrate a genuine Las Vegas tale that honors the legendary Showgirl, utilizing Gia’s distinct fashion sense and striking visual storytelling.”

The movie’s production just ended, but no release date has been announced yet.
Coppola announced on Instagram on Thursday that the film’s production is completed. She uploaded a picture of a clapperboard that had the autographs of the actors and crew on it.
“That concludes #TheLastShowgirl .” the filmmaker captioned the post.
