The father of NFL player, Travis Kelce, “Ed Kelce” said in an interview that the NFL star may be travelling to Sydney, Australia to cheer his girlfriend Taylor Swift on her Eras Tour performance.
The Sydney Morning Herald was informed by Ed that he spoke with Travis, 34, “after the Super Bowl,” about this in which the Kansas City Chiefs, led by his younger son, defeated the San Francisco 49ers and won an NFL championship.
Ed reported that although Travis “said he’d actually like to witness her performance scheduled in Sydney and Singapore,” the Chiefs tight end “wasn’t sure because he has commitments.” “I asked him, are you going to take off for Sydney, and he seemed keen,” Ed said.
On the day he spoke with the Herald, Ed claimed his son was currently taking part in “a celebrity charity golf outing, which, I think, is in Las Vegas.”
The 34-year-old Swift will do four performances at Accor Stadium in Sydney from February 23 to the 26th as part of her current Eras Tour. Following that, on March 2, she will go to Singapore for six sold-out performances at National Stadium.
According to the NFL star’s father, Travis has become close to Taylor Swift’s father, Scott Swift, and the two have a mutual bond with the league. “Scott was immediately into it because he played collegiate football”, Ed stated. He continued, “I believe he enjoys it that his daughter is seeing a football player rather than a musician”.
Ed praised Swift, “She is so warm and gracious” in every meeting and at games, despite being “probably the most famous person in the world,” according to him.
She is an avid football fan and leads by example when the team is playing. Ed said, “I was shocked to see that Taylor picked up all of the trash that my friends and I had left around during the Super Bowl and put it in the trash when she got up.”
“I won’t pretend that I don’t worry about it; he is my son, and I am surely concerned about him and know that their relationship will undoubtedly face some difficulties,” Ed remarked. He concluded, “But in the end, they just need to figure things out together, and they seem like a good fit.”
