Chelsea Otto Ferary has a new single out on Spotify called “Rewind”. This is the second original single for this young talent who not only writes the music but also records and produces it herself! I was thrilled when Chelsea took the time for this interview about her new music and her upcoming projects.
You have a brand-new single coming out! Tell us about the song.
Yes! I’m super excited to release my new single called “Rewind” on July 13th. My song is about wanting to go back in time to experience a part of your life that you really cherished, and you wish that part would continue and never end. This is ironic because time keeps going, it never stops for anyone which is why I decided to call the song Rewind, because if life had a rewind button it would save the moments that we love the most and we could replay them over and over again!
What is the inspiration for your music?
My biggest inspiration for my music is the life experiences and events that I live presently in. I love being able to share these events through a story with my audience in hopes that they can relate to the topics expressed and listening to my songs, can give a sense of comfort or that motivational boost that my audience may need! For my new song “Rewind” the inspiration was the idea of wanting to pause time because I was living in a moment that I never wanted to forget or fade away.
You currently record your music on your laptop. Tell us about that process.
Recording and producing my music via my laptop is a very interesting and fun creative process for me to work one on one with my ideas and vessel it into creation. I always experiment with different melodies and patterns that I find interesting and add emphasis to different tones that I enjoy the most. I feel it’s a great opportunity to really reflect on my music as an artist and be in control of how exactly I want the song to sound and make the changes right then and there.
What made you decide to start making music?
What made me decide to start making music was the great sense of understanding and great vibes associated with the songs that I had related to. I wanted to be able to share my own original vibes and stories with others similarly to connect with them on a deeper level whether that be their emotions, experiences, or just a positive comforting energy overall.

What has been your favorite moment from recording your music?
My favorite moment from recording my music would have to be hearing the final product. It can be a long process to get to the final stages of a song until you are happy with it. I really enjoy playing back what I have recorded and analyzing it to perfection according to how I am trying to get the song portrayed and interpreted.
You go to a lot of red-carpet events. What has been your favorite event so far?
I am so grateful for the opportunities to attend red carpet events associated with my entertainment career. My favorite event so far that I have attended would probably be the Dream Works Prom & “Ruby Gillman Teenage Kraken” Screening Event. The movie was absolutely amazing, and an accurate representation of how meaningful prom can be for most teenagers! The event was so beautiful.
How important do you think networking is to a budding career?
Networking is an extremely important asset to a budding career because it allows you to form connections with others that may be influential with advice and communication throughout the industry. You could both inspire each other in your own projects and motivate each other to meet new people that can surprisingly open the door to many new opportunities!
Are there any upcoming projects you can share with our readers?
Upcoming projects I have in the works is a possible album and I am super excited to get back to the studio to work! In the meantime, the short film that I was in “Butterface” has just been released and I’m so happy to share it with everyone!
