This season of Family Vacation, Jenni Farley “JWOWW” assures Jersey Shore viewers that the eagerly anticipated reunion between Sammi “Sweetheart” Giancola and Ronnie Ortiz-Magro will leave them speechless.
Laverne Cox was interviewed by the MTV star and her co-star Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino on the 2024 People’s Choice Awards carpet on Sunday. When the former flames make a comeback this season, Farley, 37, told viewers to expect fireworks and teased, “When I assure you to believe your cheeks will hit the floor, your jaw will hit the floor.” Right now, I’m shivering.
“It just needed to be done,” she continued. “Living under one roof together was a need for all of us”, she added further. In response, Sorrentino, 41, said he was a fan and that he “wants to see what takes place too” when the ex-couples reconcile after a decade apart.
The first six seasons of Jersey Shore featured a difficult on-again, off-again romance between Giancola, 36, and Ortiz-Magro, 38. During their infamous five-year romance, Farley and Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi penned an anonymous email to Giancola revealing Ortiz-Magro’s infidelity. Ortiz-Magro told PEOPLE in 2014 that he had broken up with Giancola.
The latest supertease for Jersey Shore: Family holiday debuted exclusively to PEOPLE. It saw Ortiz-Magro putting his bags down in the cast’s holiday home. After leaving the MTV show to receive mental health therapy, Ortiz-Magro came back as a key cast member and said, “I have the feeling that here’s where I truly belong.”

The cast of Family Vacation talked about Ortiz-Magro’s return to the show as a recurrent character during their reunion from the previous season. Giancola told PEOPLE that she “might not have come back” if she had known Ortiz-Magro would be appearing in season 7 of Family Vacation.
