Here’s an exclusive update about the, Gerry Turner and Theresa Nist provided to a famous website, PEOPLE on their wedding planning progress ahead of their live ceremony to be held on January 4th.
They are moving to prepare for their televised wedding of a known figure as The Golden Bachelors “Gerry Turner and Theresa Nist”, have found themselves with less on their plate compared to the average engaged couple.
They have disclosed to the media that they were not that fortunate while getting the assistance from their daughter, Jen, when it comes to wedding planning.
“Jen has been a true lifesaver,” says Nist, a 70-year-old financial services professional, as she and Turner, 72, made their red carpet debut in New York City in mid-December.
She further told that, “There were countless decisions that needed to be made, and in many instances, she would put together vision boards for me or provide ideas for dresses, veils, and rings.”
Jen essentially took charge of the planning process, allowing the couple, who got engaged on the season finale of the inaugural season of The Golden Bachelor, to have very few decisions left to make by mid-December.
“She consistently presents me with fantastic options, and I simply say, ‘Yes, that, that, and that,'” Nist explains. “Honestly, I don’t know if we would have had a wedding without her involvement.”
Turner adds that their other children will also play a significant role in their special D Day. Turner has two daughters and two granddaughters, while Nist has a son named Tommy and is a grandmother to six. “All of them are involved,” he reveals. “There is a place for every family member in the wedding party.”
In addition, Nist shares that the wedding holds a special significance for Jen herself. “Her birthday falls on January 4th,” she explains, adding that her daughter feels “incredible” about sharing her birthday with their wedding date.
The couple acknowledged that they are in complete agreement regarding their vision for the wedding day. The star of The Golden Bachelor states, “Rest assured, it will be a truly spectacular event.”
