The newly wedded couple, Gerry Turner and Theresa Nist are spending time together now officially as a husband and wife.
The couple broadcasted their marriage live on January 4, and now they have started sharing their experiences as a married couple.
A 70-year-old Nist uploaded an Instagram post of former Golden Bachelor lead, 72, joining her at a New Jersey dinner.
This was the couple’s first official date on the ABC series, and Nist took her husband to the local spot. In the post shared on social media, it was visible that Turner was enjoying the diner staple of eggs, bacon and pancakes. Apart from the pictures of their meal, the couple clicked many selfies and posed in front of the diner inside the restaurant.
She wrote a caption to the post while explaining how important these dinners are for their relationship.
“A diner date is part of our story so, I had to bring Gerry to a New Jersey diner. (we are kinda famous for them here!),” wrote Nist.
“Eggs, bacon and pancakes (for him), a spinach, feta cheese omelette and a fruit cup for me. It was fun meeting new and old friends!”
While Nist shared a few shots of their dinner date, Turner shared his photos from their outing. He posted a couple of the same images as well as a few selfies of the pair bracing the New Jersey cold outside the eatery.
“Out of 530 diners in New Jersey, Theresa took me to one of the best,” Turner wrote in his Instagram caption. “With only 529 more to go, I’ll be through June of 2025.”
The pair developed connections at the on-screen date during the season’s second episode. On their first date they both enjoyed a memorable dinner and show. As they got to know each other, the diner waitstaff broke into a flash mob and danced to Journey’s “Don’t Stop Believing.”

Their relationship became stronger on the show before Turner proposed in the season finale. They revealed their marriage plans in that episode. They both planned to marry in a televised wedding on ABC. This was a dream for them and they have fulfilled it now. The couple told PEOPLE “It was a dream come true”.
