Jacob Elordi roped for a new role in Guillermo del Toro’s Netflix Movie

After the viral success of Saltburn, Jacob Elordi got a new role in a Netflix movie. A 26-year-old man, Elordi will portray Frankenstein’s monster in Netflix’s upcoming adaptation of author Mary Shelley’s 1818 novel. The Netflix movie is directed by Oscar-winning director Guillermo del Toro. The Euphoria star will star alongside Oscar Isaac, who will portray scientist Victor Frankenstein, in this latest movie.

Media source, PEOPLE approached Elordi’s management to get the quote and some exclusive details about getting cast as Victor Frankenstein’s scientific experiment.

The actor was not cast as a first option, he is replacing the previous cast actor Andrew Garfield who had to quit due to “strike postponements that led to scheduling conflicts.” After this  Priscilla actor was roped in for the role.

Mia Goth, Christoph Waltz, Felix Kammerer, Lars Mikkelsen, and David Bradley are the cast of the untitled movie for Netflix.

The actor has bagged the Oscars for his role in 2017 The Shape of Water, 2006’s Pan’s Labyrinth and 2022’s Pinocchio.

Frankenstein has been on the big screen many times, including 1931’s Frankenstein, 1935’s The Bride of Frankenstein, 1939 ’s Son of Frankenstein, 1943’s Frankenstein Meets the Wolf Man, 1944’s House of Frankenstein, 1948’s Bud Abbott and Lou Costello Meet Frankenstein and many more.

2023 was quite busy for him. He will continue with his role as Nate Jacobs in the third season of Euphoria.
