Selena Gomez is openly discussing her perception on her physique.
The vocalist flaunted her figure from throwback pictures posted on Monday night in a sequence of Instagram Stories.
The 31-year-old star of “The Only Murders in the Building” first posted a picture from an earlier time in which she is seen sporting a zebra bikini. She stated, “Today I realised I will never look like this again,” on the Instagram Story.
After that she posted a current picture of herself in a swimming suit. In that image she was wearing a white tube-top bikini top and a black, high-waisted bikini bottom in this picture.
Gomez wrote the caption for the second post and said, “I’m not perfect, but I’m proud of who I am. I forget sometimes that it’s okay to be who I am”.
The creator of Rare Beauty has been encouraging body acceptance in her postings lately, continuing a trend that began when she confronted those who made negative remarks about her appearance.
Fans made remarks on the actress’s physical appearance after she attended the 80th Golden Globes in January 2023. Gomez responded to her haters in an Instagram Live video that was filmed and then shared by the pop news daily account on TikTok.
She was speaking with her 9-year-old sister, Gracie Elliott Teefey. She said to her followers, “I’m a little bit big right now because I enjoyed myself during the holidays,” then she turned to face Gracie and said, “Right?”
After saying Gomez started laughing as it seemed like Gracie nodded with the singer.
“Love the face and physique that you have”, she explained. In the video, Gomez stated, “You may not look like everyone else, but you are who you are, and be proud of that.”
