Tina Fey comments over “The Mean Girls” reunion; “Everyone is busy”

To be released as a Musical Film, “Mean Girls” had 4 leading women that portrayed the role in the film.

Tina Fey revealed in an interview to The New York Times that yesterday reported that, “ There were rumours that Lindsay Lohan, Rachel McAdams, Amanda Seyfried, and Lacey Chabert would play small roles in the new film.

The film is all set to release on Friday. Upon asking about their roles in the film to be release on Jan 12, 2024 looks like, she replied, “We’ll never know,”

“They are quite busy and that is why they are not able to come together. We have tried and we all admire each other”.

Fey wrote the original script and co-starred as math teacher Norbury. He reprised his role in the new film and wrote its script.

His call to return to the 2004 film, which also spawned a Broadway show, was out of gratitude.

“I have other things that I would love to do. But I have so much gratitude that this movie seemed to stay in the hearts of the audience,” she told the Times.

She added further, “When I look at it, I recall how hard I worked on it in the first place. I feel like the bricks and mortar of it were the absolute best possible job I was capable of at the time. It’s not perfect, but it holds water.”

However, when asked about working on the same sequel with the original cast to play the character as adults, she replied, “She has not considered it”.

While speaking to Variety recently, McAdams shared that she was interested in appearing in the new screen adaptation. She played the role of Regina George in the original series.

She added that, “She is interested to be part of a Mean Girls reunion and hang with my Plastics”.
