Singer Selena Gomez welcomes an exciting project. A 31-year-old singer and actress revealed on Instagram Stories on Friday about her In an upcoming project, that she is going to portray the role of musical icon Linda Ronstadt.
“I have no words to describe this project… years after hoping for this role, finally this dream would become my reality,” she wrote as the caption for an image she took of a Deadline article that revealed the news.
The Only Murders in the Building star uploaded a black-and-white photo of Ronstadt on a second slide with the words, “Love your heart and soul for life and music.” The 77-year-old Ronstadt reshared the tale on her own account with pink hearts added.

The much-discussed Linda Ronstadt biopic is now in production. On the “Projects” part of the website, there is an announcement stating that Selena Gomez has been cast as Linda. “The two recently talked about the project and got to know one another for a few hours at Linda’s house.”
Earlier this month, Ronstadt’s manager, Great Eastern Music revealed the new role of Selena Gomez.
Boylan and James Keach, who produced Ronstadt’s 2019 documentary The Sound of My Voice and the Johnny Cash biopic Walk the Line, will collaborate to produce the movie. The title of the movie and the other actors have not yet been disclosed. With David O. Russell directing.

Simple Dreams, the 2013 book written by the “Desperado” singer, was featured on Gomez’s Instagram Story earlier this month, along with an apparent reading of it. This was prior to the announcement.
The day after, Ronstadt wrote on her verified Facebook page and published Instagram Stories about the casting in the media. The post added, “It all started with a simple dream.”
Gomez and the “You’re No Good” artist have Mexican ancestry, and the “Single Soon” singer has already mentioned how similar they seem.
“I started listening to her music because I used to get compliments on how much I looked like her.”
Ronstadt, who has won eleven Grammy awards throughout her career, was honored with a lifetime achievement award from the Recording Academy in 2016 and elected into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2014. In 2019, Linda Ronstadt became the focus of Rob Epstein and Jeffrey Friedman’s documentary Linda Ronstadt: The Sound of My Voice, which documented her nearly 50-year journey.
