For the first time in years, a beloved “So You Think You Can Dance” ( SYTYCD) cast member is back on the set as a judge.
Allison Holker Boss revealed on Thursday that she had returned to the Fox reality competition series, where she will be a member of the panel of judges in the upcoming 18th season. The choreographer, who met her spouse Stephen “tWitch” Boss through their participation as contestants and choreographers on the program, is making her first appearance back on the program since his demise.
Allison, 36, shared her first Instagram Story picture from the set this season. She displayed her matching sweatsuit ensemble, which she accessorized with orange Nikes, and gave a peace sign in the mirror selfie. She captioned the picture with the hashtag #Backonset and tagged the official SYTYCD account.
She shared a joyful selfie on the following slide, giving the impression that she was glad to be back on the show. In the picture, she emphasized her hair and cosmetics, which included a pink lip and a high ponytail.
The former pro dancer on Dancing with the Stars also used the occasion to thank her crew for easing her back into the show. “I’m thankful for my Glam team,” she captioned the photo. December 2023 saw the announcement of Allison as a judge for season 18. She will continue the legacy of her late husband, who served as a judge in seasons 15 and 17.
Alongside fellow DWTS veteran and inaugural SYTCYD Maks Chmerkovskiy, the former “All-Stars” dancer will be on the judging panel. The seasoned broadcaster Cat Deeley will be back as host.

Allison revealed on Instagram how much she was looking forward to working on the show, and just after a month she was named a judge.
“Very appreciative.. 2024!” she captioned a reel that showed her dancing in an all-red outfit. “THEREFORE YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE privileged and humbled! I can’t wait for everyone to see what we’ve been working on! Being back home is like a dream come true! Who’s thrilled about #sytycd?” she concluded.
