Social media users gazed as she did not come to the event. Gomez was last seen enjoying lunch at Nobu in Malibu last Sunday with Interscope Records CEO John Janick. She was sighted on the West Coast, quite a distance from tonight’s celebration in Newark, just outside of New York City.
On Friday, Gomez created a new recording in which she worked with Rema on the remix of “Calm Down.” In addition to all of her acting commitments, she has uploaded a video of herself in the studio, hinting that new music is still on the way but that listeners will hear it later this year as the release date is not yet announced.
In an interview in September, Gomez explained her position on her music career. She acknowledged that she often feels as though she is putting herself around nowadays, but she said, “I do not even imagine I’ll ever cease doing music.” I’m not declaring that I desire a Grammy. Simply put, I feel as though I’m putting out my best effort and that I am the centre of attention. That can truly bother me at times. She said, “You’re emptying yourself out,” making music more intimate than acting.
