When it comes to organizing the most important night in pop culture, Simu Liu is a good match to host the show. When the 2024 People’s Choice Awards begin on Sunday, February 18, at Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, California, the emcee is even hinting at a potential reunion with their co-stars from the biggest film of 2023.
“I think we’ll see a few characters from the film,” Liu exclusively disclosed on February 15 on E! News. He added, “I wanna leave a little bit to surprise as well.” Given that Liu, Ryan Gosling, and Margot Robbie are all up for PCA nominations for their parts in Greta Gerwig’s highly regarded movie, that seems highly possible.
He entertained and asked Would Liu, however, ever take the stage with Gosling to perform his Oscar-nominated Best Original Song, “I’m Just Ken,” at this year’s Academy Awards.?
“I’m in,” the 34-year-old said to E!. “I like him. He is an amazing vocalist. He can strike the notes with his voice. It seems foolish to me that the Academy would not welcome him.”
A further performer with several nominations at this year’s ceremony is Taylor Swift. Regretfully, Liu warns that fans shouldn’t hold their expectations too high in case the Grammy-winning star appears at the event.
The singer of Eras said, “We’re big Swiftie fans,” and he added, “The thing is, Taylor is on tour at that moment. For the next leg of her tour, she is traveling to Australia, where she will perform four shows. So, what an amazing year for her we weren’t anticipating it.”
