There will be long suspense for fans who have tickets to Taylor Swift‘s much-awaited Sydney show since the venue needs to be assessed for asbestos. Millions of pop diva fans will converge on Sydney Olympic Park for the Australian leg of her Eras Tour, which is regarded as one of the greatest concert tours in history.
However, authorities at Sydney Olympic Park have confirmed that they will be testing the mulch used on a middle strip on a divided road at the site, following an asbestos scare in New South Wales. It comes after garden mulch became contaminated all around the state.
It has been established that the mulch in Sydney Olympic Park originated from a supplier chain that is presently being looked into.
Penny Sharpe, the environment minister for NSW, stated that while an early test on the mulch revealed no asbestos, a backup test was being carried out as a protection. Authorities are examining the mulch.
“Even though we are testing samples, we can still clear the leaves and debris and do the necessary cleanup in time for Taylor Swift’s performance,” Ms Sharpe stated. Authorities said, “Taylor Swift will still perform in Sydney despite this.”
It comes after the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) of NSW said on Friday that a criminal inquiry would be carried out to determine whether or not garden mulch used all around Sydney to contaminate with asbestos as a part of foul play. The city’s more than seventy parks and garden beds are being evaluated.
