The Grammy-winning musician, and his 40-year-old girlfriend, Jennifer Goicoechea, tied the knot on February 11 in Las Vegas, after the singer performed at the Super Bowl LVIII half time, according to PEOPLE.
At the Terrace Gazebo, an outdoor wedding chapel with seating for 30 guests, the couple took promises. The marriage certificate lists Usher’s mother Jonetta Patton as the couple’s witness.
Usher was spotted with a gold band on his left ring finger when the two went out together in Las Vegas following the big game. Goicoechea wore a wide-leg pant suit and an off-the-shoulder jacket with a tie waist, while Usher sported a black tuxedo with a white fur coat that swept the floor.
A request for feedback from an Usher spokesperson was not answered.
The Super Bowl 2024 halftime show performer opened out about his relationship with Goicoechea in an exclusive interview with PEOPLE earlier this week.
“Listen, once you meet somebody who you feel is a wonderful companion, of course it is an honor and enjoyable to be ready to spend your life with a person who is interested in sharing it with you and loves you, who you are,” said the man.
“We’ve obviously made a commitment to life for life together because of our children,” Usher went on. She continued, “Wedding bliss wouldn’t be strange for any of us. Here, we have already done so. Do you understand what I mean?
She added further, “We have something to share, so it goes without saying that we will be in each other’s lives until the day we die. That is really lovely. Our young ones. not in light of that, though. I genuinely think I have a wonderful and respected companion.”
In 2020, the couple welcomed their first child together, a daughter named Sovereign Bo, and in 2021, they welcomed a son named Sire Castrello. Along with his ex-wife Tameka Foster, Usher is also father to two kids, Usher V and Naviyd Ely.
Relationship rumours went viral when the couple, Goicoechea and Usher were seen together at producer Keith Thomas’ 40th birthday celebration in June 2019.
