In 2024, People’s Choice Awards Barbie received nine film nominations.The award show will be aired on February 18 at 8 p.m on channels; NBC, Peacock and E! from Santa Monica’s Barker Hangar.

The list of TV categories adds, Only Murders in the Building leads with seven nods, Ted Lasso, The Morning Show and The Last of Us with six nominations each and The Bear and Law & Order: Special Victims Unit with five nods apiece.
Luke Combs, Nicki Minaj, Morgan Wallen and Taylor Swift are each up for five awards in Music categories, with Taylor Swift who is nominated for her film “The Eras Tour” nominated in the movie of the year.
Role of Kens in Barbie played by Simu Liu, is all set to host this year’s People’s Choice Awards.
On hosting the show, she expressed her gratitude, “I’m so grateful to have been asked to step up to the hosting plate for the 2024 People’s Choice Awards”.
Liu said in a statement. “It’s exciting to celebrate the start of 2024 in pop culture, and with the incredible fans that made us stand here”.
Simu Liu, a Canadian actor, has a wide experience of hosting award shows. Last shows hosted by her were the “Canadian Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences’ Juno Awards, and Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences’ SciTech Awards in 2023”.
In 2021, he bagged the People’s Choice Award for Action Movie Star and the Legend of the Ten Rings.
