In an Instagram post on Saturday, the 56-year-old actor remarked on his three nods for the 55th NAACP Image Awards and shared an emotional post referring to the nominations. The actor, 56, opened up about receiving “a second chance” at life in a candid Instagram post on Friday.
He revealed the categories in which he got the nominations, ‘Outstanding Actor in a Motion Picture for The Burial’, ‘Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Motion Picture for They Cloned Tyrone’, and ‘Outstanding Independent Motion Picture for Story Ave’, which he produced. Foxx said, “I’m extremely grateful to the @naacpimageawards for these nominations.”
“Words cannot express how lucky it feels to be acknowledged by our own and a huge thank you to @datariturner for your vision and your unwavering commitment to complete all of our projects at the highest standards of proficiency and execution. It’s truly amazing,” the actor said.
“You have elevated Foxxhole Productions to national prominence, and we are still making amazing artistic progress”, he added in a post.

As he wrote, “And on a personal note I am humbled and grateful to God that I gained a second chance to enjoy and appreciate life,” Foxx seemed to be addressing the medical issue he had encountered in April of last year.
He tagged his daughter Corinne Foxx and sister Deidra Dixon, who he had previously claimed “saved my life” during the difficult times.
Foxx’s most recent post was made after he was seen traveling to the set last week, where he was filming Back in Action for Netflix with co-star Cameron Diaz. In April, he had to leave the project due to a medical emergency.

Later, Foxx had “health-related problems,” Corinne, his 29-year-old daughter, said in a post on April 12, 2023. At the time, PEOPLE confirmed that the project had been “shut down” on the same day as the statement went viral.
According to a source who spoke with PEOPLE last week told that the actor is feeling better now and will resume shooting for film through February, following his health concerns from last year.
