The Kardashians star Khloé Kardashian may have taken the award home at Sunday’s 2024 People’s Choice Awards, but she has said she doesn’t think she is “worthy” of the recognition.
Kardashian, 39, uploaded two videos on Instagram in which she spoke about that on Monday. In two videos she explained why she was unable to attend the ceremony and that she was “blown away” to have won the reality TV Personality of the Year award for the sixth time in a row.
“I’m in shock that I got the People’s Choice award once more. Truly, I am unable to say anything. In the first video, an ecstatic Kardashian opened, saying, “I am so incredibly thankful. It doesn’t make sense to me, how I made this.” She continued, saying, “The very first couple of years I believed this was going to be an accident, and people felt bad for me.”
She continued saying, “This is her sixth time earning the prize. Sure, that might have been an error. I have no idea, but I don’t feel deserving because this is my sixth year of winning, which is kind of difficult for my mind to comprehend”.
The co-founder of Good American then talked about why she didn’t attend the awards show, saying she felt “terrible” about missing it. She expressed, “I would like to clarify why I was not present last night”. “I experience pretty bad migraines”, in another video, she remarked. She said, “There wasn’t much else that could have prevented me from being there last night, so thank you guys.”
In another clip, Kardashian expressed her gratitude for her family’s show The Kardashians winning the Best Reality Show award, calling it a “so special” accomplishment.
Kardashian also shared photographs of herself attending the gala in the past on Instagram, along with a picture of her many People’s Choice Awards gongs.
“Whoa! I really can’t put into words how grateful I am! I’m struggling to find the words in this little video,” she wrote as the post’s caption. “I am completely amazed! I’m very appreciative! I adore you incredibly! Indeed”, she went on.
“It still amazes me that I have won six times in a row. It’s crazy, I felt the first few years were a fluke or a sympathy win,” Kardashian continued. “May God bless every one of you! I cherish you! I regret not being there. These migraines, ugh! Okay, I’ll quit talking now. I’m genuinely surprised, thrilled and fantastic”, she concluded.
