The 38-year-old Olympic swimmer and his spouse announced the birth of their fourth child, a boy, on Instagram on Monday.
A father of a newborn son wrote a caption, “I’d like to welcome Nico Michael Phelps to the world on behalf of Mrs Nicole Phelps born on January 16th, ” along with the pair’s photo, featuring Nico in Phelps’ arms.
The caption went on, “We’re so blessed to be given a fourth child. We’re now a family of 6!”
In an anniversary post earlier this month, the parents of four boys revealed on Instagram that their family of four was expanding once more.
The couple, who have been together since 2016, uploaded images from a recent NFL game with Johnson flaunting her growing baby bump.
In addition to celebrating the newest family member, the mother of four also marked her seventh anniversary with the Olympic swimmer by sharing the photo on Instagram.
“Yes, for those who are wondering. We’re looking forward to our fourth Phelps in 2024 and added a heart emoji,” Johnson wrote in the caption to the carousel photos.
The parents are overjoyed to have so many guys living in the house. Johnson finds the relationship particularly enjoyable, and her family has given her the title “queen of the household.”
Boomer turned to Nicole and remarked, “Mommy, you’re the girl in our house”.
I believe Nicole said something like, “I’m fortunate to live in a house full of boys and no girls”. Phelps has stated about Johnson that she is genuinely a queen for us.

The couple had been dating intermittently for a few years before declaring their engagement in 2015 and getting married in three different ceremonies in 2016.
