Pop singer, Taylor Swift has kicked off his Eras Tour in Japan. On the other hand, her boyfriend Travis Kelce prepares for his second Super Bowl to be held on Sunday.

The 34-year-old singer-songwriter gave fans a powerful performance at Japan’s Tokyo Dome on Wednesday to launch the Tokyo leg of her current global tour. Swift gripped onto the microphone and grinned broadly at the audience in photos for the performance. She was witnessed wearing her trademark flashy pink rhinestone bodysuit.

She also wore a one-legged black body suit adorned with dazzling red snakes and a fringed minidress while she played the guitar.

Swift said to the audience on Wednesday in a video posted on X, “I’ve been working on Tortured Poets since right after I turned in Midnights.”

“I’ve been focusing on it for about two years, and I continue to work on it during the U.S. tour. When I thought it was perfect in every way, or good enough for you, I finished it, and I’m so excited that you’ll get to hear it soon,” she continued.

Swift said that The Tortured Poets Department, her eleventh studio album, will be released. She announced at her 13th Grammy Award acceptance speech for Midnights, the best pop vocal album. As of the 2024 event, she had won 14 times in total.

At her Tokyo performance, Swift continued, expressing her happiness that her fans were enjoying her music. “Everyone’s like, ‘Why do you make so many albums?’ I’m like, ‘Man, because I love it! I love it so much!'”

“The recording academy decided to give Midnight’s album of the year,” Swift said, adding, “I just can’t believe you, I cannot express my gratitude to you enough. This is the absolute craziest, most exciting experience and then getting the opportunity to perform here and then get to thank you and see you right after that took place, I’m in a really good mood.”

Swift will play four nights in a row in Tokyo from February 7 to February 10, concluding on February 11 the day before Super Bowl LVIII.
