Todd Phillips, the director of “Folie á Deux”, is praising the love shared by the criminal pair known as the Joker this Valentine’s Day. On Instagram, 53-year-old Phillips posted three brand-new pictures of Joaquin Phoenix and Lady Gaga embracing in the personas of Dr. Harleen Quinzel, also known as Harley Quinn, and Arthur Fleck, aka the Joker.
In one photo, Phoenix, 49, is seen standing next to Gaga, 37, who is dressed in a subdued rendition of Harley Quinn’s mismatched red and blue cosmetics. Phoenix is dressed as the Joker.
In another image, Gaga is seen grinning as she stands face-to-face with Phoenix on the set and rubs her nose with hers. In their close-up, Phoenix looks into his costar’s eyes and severely smiles.
The imaginary pair is shown dancing in each other’s arms in the last picture. They may be seen leisurely dancing on the Folie à Deux set, where Phoenix dips Gaga.
“I hope you have a loving day. 10.4.24,” Phillips captioned the photo, mentioning the movie’s release date.
The director released one of the earliest looks regarding the sequel on last year’s Valentine’s Day along with the first image of Gaga and Phoenix. Phillips hasn’t released many images of the new feature since then.

Recently, Phillips showed over two more movie stills to fans in honour of the festive season. The first picture had Phoenix confined to what was likely his Arkham Asylum cell, which he was assigned to in the Joker movie’s climactic sequence. Phoenix may be seen in the other picture, with Gaga turning to face him.
In 2019, Joker broke box office records when it was released. In June 2022, a sequel was formally confirmed. PEOPLE revealed that Gaga was in talks to play Harley Quinn in the same month.
