Kelly Clarkson, 41-year-old superstar, shares some insane moments of her 2023, which she will truly remember.
One memory she will never forget is when her kids, River Rose (9) and Remington Alexander (7), gave a surprise on-stage during her Las Vegas residency in August. This incident is very close to her heart as her children shared the stage while she was performing.
In a recent interview to a popular magazine, PEOPLE for this week’s cover story, Clarkson expressed her moment with her children whom she shares with her ex-husband, Brandon Blackstock.
She explained the moment, where she was performing and the theater was completely sold out. River chose to sing a duet of her mom’s hit song “Heartbeat Song,” while Remington joyfully danced as Clarkson belted out “Whole Lotta Woman.”
This incident grabbed the limelight and cheered the audience. She said that it was too overwhelming for her.
She recalls, “At that time, I really felt that the way they are staring at me, they watch Spider-Man daily. This feeling caught me completely off guard, and it was the most magical moment because they were so happy and at ease. They were just in awe.”
Since taking home the title during the inaugural season of American Idol in 2002, Clarkson has established a stellar career in show business. She has ten studio albums under her credit, three Grammy awards, and a successful career as a coach on The Voice. She even started her own talk show. She really moved to New York City for the fifth season of the show, from Los Angeles.

Her Vegas residency has been a hit, in addition to her talk show’s enormous popularity, which has earned her six Daytime Emmy Awards, including best Daytime Talk Series and host for Clarkson herself.
After all this, she truly feels that it was a way for Clarkson to reclaim her power and express herself through her music. After breaking up from her ex-husband, it was very tough for her to come through the depression and live the moments again.
