Rita Ora walked in for Kelly Rowland when she abruptly left the event “Today” due to an incident that occurred behind the scenes. According to a source who spoke with PEOPLE, “Kelly left because she and her team didn’t like her dressing room.”
An insider revealed, “Rita Ora consented to step in right before the deadline. She was so amazing both inside and outside the concert, and a lot of people were impressed.”
When PEOPLE reached out to a representative of Rowland, they did not immediately answer, and a representative of Today declined to comment.
The story was first reported by Page Six, which mentioned that the singer of “Motivation” was a guest on the morning show at eight in the morning.
Then, Rowland, 43, was scheduled to guest co-host Today with Hoda & Jenna for the fourth hour, replacing Jenna Bush Hager.
However, the outlet claims that Rowland asked to be put in a green room upstairs, but Jennifer Lopez was already in there promoting her new album, This Is Me… Now, and the Prime Video accompanying it.
The former member of Destiny’s Child decided to leave the set at the last minute because she wasn’t thrilled with the dressing area that was provided, prompting co-host Hoda Kotb to find a substitute.
