Australian fans of Taylor Swift are getting themselves inked, committing their undying love for the singer. Before Swift’s Eras Tour stop in Melbourne, Australia, hundreds of Swifties descended upon tattoo parlors to get inked a Swift-themed tattoo; some fans even stood in long lines for as long as fifty minutes.
VC Ink Tattoo Gallery announced on social media earlier this week that they would be offering Swift-inspired designs with lines and themes drawn from the Grammy winner’s career. Two fans would win free tattoos from the collection, and each design could be tattooed for $150.
In addition to song titles like “Cruel Summer,” “Getaway Car,” “Karma,” and “All Too Well,” the designs featured a disco ball modeled after “Mirrorball,” a cardigan sweater with stars to symbolize the song “Cardigan,” and a snake to signify Swift’s Reputation album.
The business also shared a picture of the lengthy lineup outside its store on Instagram Stories, estimating that the wait for tattoos had once been between forty and fifty minutes. It also re-posted several fan-submitted stories about their inkings, such as one about a fan who received a heart-shaped tattoo and Swift following suit.
“Asking me how I believe regarding tattooing, after witnessing myself at the Eras Tour last night?” the fan wrote in their post, tagging the store. I have no fear.
Other businesses provided Swift-inspired tattoos throughout the weekend besides VC Ink. According to Australia’s News Corp., Popular Fine Line Tattoos also held a “flash tattoo event” over the weekend.
