Travis Kelce is committed to his team “Kansas City Chief” to make it win in the final pursuit of consecutive Super Bowl.

The NFL player, Kelce, 34, has revealed he will not be fortunate enough to attend this weekend’s Grammy categories with her girlfriend, which are scheduled for Sunday, February 4 in downtown Los Angeles. Taylor Swift, the star’s girlfriend, has got nods for six categories this weekend.

During his appearance on The Pat McAfee Show on Wednesday, Kelce expressed his desire to support her girlfriend Taylor at the Grammy Awards and see her win all of the awards for which she is nominated.

Kelce then surreptitiously said, “But I think I’ve got practice on Sunday.”

The Chiefs tight end didn’t know if his team would practice on Saturday and travel on Sunday, but he clarified that he couldn’t attend the award night because of his schedule, which demands that he concentrate on winning Kansas City’s fourth Super Bowl in the previous five years.

Kelce continued stating, “Unfortunately, I have to prepare for this big old Super Bowl that we have in a week.”

With the Grammy Awards taking place the weekend before the Super Bowl and Swift, 34, having backed Kelce throughout Sunday’s AFC Championship victory in Baltimore, supporters assumed that the two would show up for the ceremony together.

On Sunday, Swift and Kelce were able to openly support one another. Their on-field celebration went viral on social media, with the NFL star heard exclaiming “I love you” and the couple exchanging multiple kisses.

The victory party on Sunday was described by an insider to PEOPLE as “the best night ever” for Swift and the Kelce family. “The presence of his loved ones there, all his best friends and managers, and of course, Taylor, commemorating him was very precious.”
